Hello dearest folowers! Sorry for the lack of blogging lately but I've been totally stumped on my DIY projects. Thank goodness for my sweet sweet cousins for helping me out today on the descion making process!
So I found my mothers childhood twin headboard in storage a while back and I loved the structure of it. But of course it wasn't spunky enough for me! Nothing a little paint can't fix! :)
But that was the hard part, picking a color that matches a stripe in one of my pillows. It felt like the longest moment in the hardware store today as I was indecisively picking the color, and seeing my cousins as well as the store owner continually stare at me, probably thinking I should hurry up. There is so many shades of blue, it's not even cool people. But I finally picked a color called Horseshoe. At first I was so scared of the color. I painted my last ceramic owl in that color also.
During all of this my assistant for the day sanded down the headboard and made it all soft and stuff. Then we had some cousin bonding time as we slapped a couple of coats of primer on that baby.
Ready for the final result?
I love the color now! One less DIY untill college! Here's what we got so far:
-Blue Headboard
-Yellow Bedding
-Coral Pillow
-Blue/Yellow Chevron Pillow
-Yellow Chevron Dresser
-Coral & Blue Owls
-Painted Globe
Here's whats left:
-Mirror
-Side tables
That's all folks!
